In-Depth Review of
Millionaire Match

Launched in 2001, Millionaire Match claims to be the largest millionaire dating site in the world and only serves developed countries. The site claims to have over 5 million members and was voted by Forbes.com “Best of the Web.”

Members of Millionaire Match can have their wealth verified by the site to ensure you only meet fellow millionaires on the platform. That being said, there are still members of the site that fall below that millionaire mark. For this reason, we’ve included it on our list of sugar daddy sites even though Millionaire Match explicitly states that sugar babies and daddies aren’t allowed on the site.

While joining and using Millionaire Match is free, the Premium Membership gets you over 40 additional features to help you meet that special someone. Those features include message initiation, live chat support with a real counsellor, message read receipts, advanced search filters, more profile visibility, a verified millionaire certificate, and more.

With the basic membership, features are limited to sending winks, replying to messages, uploading photos, and leaving comments on photos, profiles, forums, and blogs. For those that sign up for the Premium service on 3- or 6-month plans, the site doesn’t auto-renew memberships. Only 1-month plans will be auto renewed.

Signing Up for Millionaire Match

When signing up for Millionaire Match, the duration is completely dependent on how long it takes you to answer questions about yourself. That’s after you provide information about your name, age, gender, email address, and gender you are seeking. After that, you will write a bio about yourself and the type of person you’re interested in meeting on the site. Other details that are required to be disclosed include your country, zip code, body type, height, ethnicity, relationship status, and of course your income.

Another requirement is uploading a photo of yourself, which has to be approved by Millionaire Match. You can also sign up using your Facebook account, which might help to autofill some of those fields. Either way, you need to confirm your identity via email verification. All in all, you should probably set aside a minimum of 10 minutes to create a profile before you can begin using the site.

Member Structure

The gender distribution on Millionaire Match is fairly even, which is always nice to see in a dating service. However, when it comes to certified millionaires, men far outnumber women. More men also have Gold memberships and are more active on the Members Luxuries page, posting themselves on yachts, on extravagant trips, and eating at Michelin star restaurants. This isn’t to say female members don’t have money, but there does seem to be a wealth gap between men and women—somewhat making Millionaire Match a sugar daddy dating site (even though the platform says they’re not).

One of the best parts about Millionaire Match is that every member is vetted and verified. So you can have peace of mind knowing that almost all the profiles you come across are real people. Profiles are reviewed by moderators of the site before they can even go live. This weeds out any suspicious activity and also teaches the moderators about the latest tricks scammers have up their sleeves. That being said, you should still be careful and assume a few bad actors have slipped through the cracks. There have been reports of some fake profiles.

Matching Process

Millionaire Match doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel when it comes to matching features. There are however many matches located within a certain range of your current location. The site will show you which ones they think you might like, or you can search for singles by narrowing down your search by filters.

Furthermore, Millionaire Match gives you the option to swipe through profiles Tinder-style with its “Let’s Meet” feature. This isn’t anything new—you are presented with potential matches in which you can decide if you are interested or not. Once you and another member have mutually liked each other, you can decide if you want to start a conversation. It’s not rocket science, but it has led to increased matches on the site.

Contact Options

If you are not a paying member, your only way of contacting someone is by sending winks (capped at 50 per day) or responding to a Premium member’s message. As you can imagine, that limits your ability to get in touch with members of your choosing. As a paying member, you message who you want, which increases your odds of getting responses.

One of the most unique features that sets Millionaire Match apart is its handwritten letter feature. Available to Premium members, this service allows you to convey your feelings in a personalized letter where you can include stories, memories, events, and more. Millionaire Match will design the format of the letter according to your requirements and tell your story in the form of prose or poetry. This is a great way to get a little more romantic with your communication.

In addition to the ways you contact other members, you can also post on forums and blogs. We found that most of the female members participated in these activities.

Millionaire Match App

We found that the Millionaire Match app was inferior to the desktop version. The layout of the site makes more sense with all the information available, and the linear setup of the app didn’t seem to make the platform better. However, just having an app as an option when you’re out and about is worth the download. It’s available from both the Apple and Android store, and we can only hope that the company improves upon its design.

Conclusion

Overall, Millionaire Match is a good dating app for wealthy singles to meet and mingle. The site does a good job at verifying that millionaires are certified and ensures they receive a batch with that honour. With several ways of making contact with other successful singles, it keeps both male and female members active on the platform.

But as you might infer, those with the millionaire badge get the most attention. That’s because, while the app isn’t designed for sugar dating, a lot of women are on the site to find that successful man that can bring them along their journey. That isn’t to say everyone is on Millionaire Match for that reason—you can still find a fellow millionaire to chat, meet up with, and fall in love with on the platform.
